In a bizarre collaboration that breaks usual forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Uncovered
According to the official statement, "A mysterious confrontation leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where rumors of forbidden ceremonies and monstrous changes echo through the darkness." The narrative presents a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a secret cult.
The mission centers on "strange tests and a terrifying adversary" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Transformations
The trailer showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser finishes with a striking sequence showing a character, presumably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Prizes and Extra Features
Players who accomplish the quest will obtain an exclusive katana alongside several artifacts hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
